Come along to Abbotsford Convent for a fun, immersive creative takeover with our friends from Slow Art Collective! Transform and reimagine our public spaces in a brand-new series of free, hands-on, art activities with visual art, craft, sound and performances as part of 'Pavilion 2023'.
Immersed by large-scale experiential installations, children can co-create by adding their own personal touches to the unique world that Slow Art Collective are constructing, using recycled and repurposed materials. Featuring found and collected woven fabric sculptures, interactive musical structures, robotics and household lighting devices, the North Magdalen Laundry and Industrial School will evolve each day through public participation and crowdsourced creativity.
Add your creativity to the canvas of Slow Art Collective and take inspiration from their creative practices relating to environmental sustainability, material ethics, DIY culture and collaboration.
For children 3 — 11 years old. All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
