State-wide Caravan Safety Program - Rockhampton

VanSafe Queensland is an initiative of Caravanning Queensland in partnership with the Queensland Government’s StreetSmarts Program.

In response to the post-Covid caravanning boom and the rapid rise in recreational vehicle (RV) ownership across Queensland over the past few years, Maryborough will kick off a FREE statewide caravan safety check program this weekend.

Open to all owners of caravans, campers and motorhomes, VanSafe Queensland will educate and support recreational vehicle (RV) owners with the information they need to tow confidently, safely and compliantly – helping to create safer roads right across the state.

Attendees have the option to book in for an RV combination inspection and weigh for safety and compliance on Sunday 14 May at Rockhampton Jockey Club, Callaghan Park. To encourage participation, the event will be a safe zone for all who attend meaning no fines or breaches will be issued.
