One of Melbourne's most charismatic and well-known jazz pianists, Steve will perform with his trio; Philip Rex (bass) and Andrew Swann (drums). Also joining them on stage will be the talented and charismatic Ash Gaudion on saxophone. These outstanding musicians have performed together numerous times over many years and bring to the stage a unique chemistry, ensuring a sensational set or two.
Steve has made a vital and indelible imprint on the Melbourne jazz scene for close to four decades. He has played major festivals and music clubs across the country. As a composer and recording artist, he has released several highly acclaimed CDs, which reflect his creative evolution.
Steve was a director of Dizzy's Jazz Club, well known for its jam sessions, giving young musicians a chance to play live, and this is where the internationally successful Cat Empire were born.
