Kadampa Meditation Centre Australia

Gen Kelsang Rabten is the Resident Teacher of KMC Australia (Dandenong Ranges) and KMC Melbourne (CBD). Ordained in 1994, he has studied under the guidance of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for over 27 years. He has taught in many centres around the world including Australia, New Zealand, and South-East Asia.

Gen Rabten exemplifies the essence of the modern Kadampa’s way of life and brings a warm heart and joyful attitude to sharing Buddha’s teachings and the practice of meditation.

In a world that often glorifies selfishness and individualism, it can be difficult to remember the importance of caring for others. That's why this one-day Buddhist meditation course, "The Subtle Art of Caring About Others," is such a refreshing change of pace. You'll learn how to cultivate empathy and compassion towards others, even when it feels like the world is telling you not to care.

Through guided meditation practices, you'll discover how to develop a deeper sense of loving-kindness towards all beings, and how to use this practice to overcome negative emotions and bring more peace and harmony into your life. Rather than focusing on what you don't care about, this course encourages you to care deeply about the things that truly matter. So if you're looking for a different kind of subtle art, one that's all about caring and compassion, this course is the perfect antidote to the pervasive mentality of indifference that can sometimes dominate our culture.
