Travel to Wadjemup / Rottnest Island to learn about traditional basket weaving, including making your own basket, during the April school holidays.
Learn about the culture heritage of Wadjemup and the significance of weaving to the Whadjuk Noongar people.
Join us at the Wadjemup Museum at one of the daily Wadjemup weaving workshops guided by Sharon Egan, Whadjuk Noongar artist.
Everyone is welcome to attend a workshop, however you must book your ticket to attend. Please ensure you register all members of your party.
Two workshops will be held daily over 5 days from Thursday 13 April to Monday 17 April 2023. A maximum of 15 participants per workshop.
Workshop is free and registration is essential.
