The Westbury St Patrick’s Festival returns to the Village Green on Saturday 18th March for a daylong celebration of all things Celtic/Irish.

Activities begin with the Kolmark street parade with participants from many local organisations, including, vintage tractors, veteran and vintage cars, the Westbury Primary School Maypole Dancers, Westbury Scouts, Pearn's Steam World steam tractor, Launceston RSL Pipes & Drums and a few surprises. The street parade starts at 9am at the Westbury Cricket Grounds, leading festival goers onto the Green and into a rich performance program supported by food and craft stalls, church market, vintage tractors,
veteran and classic cars and children’s activities. Guinness will also feature.

The intent is to create a village festival that celebrates Westbury’s Irish heritage through the folk tradition and rural activities. Entry is by donation, in keeping with the Festival’s commitment to being available to all.

An exciting feature of this year’s program is the use of St Andrews Church as a venue for short acoustic performances and presentations. These St Andrews ‘Spotlights’ will provide an intimate alternative to the main stage action. Come along and enjoy a whistle player, a piper or a singalong.

An impressive line up of Festival performers this year include: Karen O'Shea, The Wheels, Meander Valley Men, Tasmanian Harp and Violin Duo . Barry Higgins & Friends, Fiddlers and Uilleann pipes, Celtic Jam Session the Westbury Primary School Maypole Dancers, Launceston Pipes and Drums and local session players to name a few.

The Westbury St Patrick’s Festival is an event run by the community for the community. Your entry donation will help continue this tradition.
