Winterfest

The Inner West’s favourite neighbourhood pub, The Royal Leichhardt, is hosting its inaugural free event Winterfest on Saturday 15 July 2023. Centred around four local breweries and boasting a range of gourmet food and drink, live entertainment, carnival games and friendly competitions, this is one event beer enthusiasts and families alike won’t want to miss.

Formerly known as the Inner West Beer Fest, The Royal is excited to relaunch this celebration to the public offering some great new family-friendly additions. With a community focus, kids can enjoy a dedicated play area with carnival games such as Connect-A-Shot (Basketball Connect 4), a half-pipe, a fire-pit with s’mores and gingerbread people decorating.

While the breweries are the main attraction, beverages will cater to all ages with delicious winter warmer cocktails and creamy hot chocolate. Visitors will also be able to dine in venue or order gourmet Bratwurst hotdogs and Reuben sandwiches from outdoor food stalls.

But the festivities don’t stop there – visitors will also be invited to enter the Royal Cake Off (rating the most delicious cake based on appearance, frosting, texture, flavour, and creativity) and the Royal Cake Munch (cake eating contest with no hands).
