Renowned singer and songwriter Brian Cadd is set to captivate audiences at the Tamworth Country Music Festival on January 24, 2024 (5.30pm), at the Blazes Showroom at Wests Leagues Club. This exclusive performance will showcase Cadd's latest musical endeavour, the much-anticipated album titled "Dream Train,” to be released in 2024. He will perform with the backing of his band featuring Pete Robinson (guitar), John Creech (drums), Gus Fenwick (bass) and John Kaldor (pedal steel).

Cadd's journey has been nothing short of magical, earning him a revered place in the hearts of fans and fellow musicians alike. From his early days in Perth to global adventures with The Flying Burrito Brothers and collaborations with musical legends such as Johnny Hallyday, Brian Cadd's story is one of a lifetime.

“Whatever the forces in the universe are that determine our earthly journeys, they have been particularly kind and generous to me,” Brian Cadd wrote in his autobiography, From This Side Of Things. “I have led about three lifetimes.”

Having contributed to iconic songs like 'The Real Thing,' themes for films like Alvin Purple, and writing classics such as 'Don't You Know It's Magic,' Brian Cadd has left an indelible mark on the Australian music landscape. Inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2007, Cadd's influence extends across generations.

Radio announcers Brian Nankervis and Jacinta Parsons often refer to serendipitous moments on their show on the ABC in Melbourne as "Cadd Magic," a fitting term for the extraordinary journey of this Australian music icon.

Fellow musicians attest to Cadd's greatness, with Jimmy Barnes declaring, "Brian Cadd is one of my heroes. He has a body of work like Ray Charles and Hank Williams." Ian "Molly" Meldrum, who once introduced Cadd to Elton John as Australia's equivalent, praises him as "one of the finest songwriters Australia has ever produced."

Brian Cadd's influence is not confined to history; he continues to create compelling new music. In 2016, he released the album "Bulletproof" with The Bootleg Family Band, showcasing his unwavering commitment to musical innovation.

As a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) since 2018, Brian Cadd's impact on the music industry goes beyond his performances. He has served on various advisory councils and boards, contributing significantly to the development and support of Australian music.

Melbourne Award-winning country duo, The Long and Short Of It, will join Brian as special guests performing songs from their latest album, 'Midnight Choir,' which has been celebrated as their "best work to date." Seamlessly blending traditional and contemporary country, the album swiftly claimed the #1 spot on the ARIA Country Music Albums Chart. Comprising David Baird and Patsy Toop OAM, The Long and Short Of It boast an impressive musical journey, including numerous awards and six album releases since their formation in 2007. Described as "honey-coated chocolate," their harmonies deliver relatable, inspirational, and storytelling songs.
