On Friday, 08 March, our feature acts will being Anisa Nandaula & Dusty Rich with Mike van Acker as MC!
Anisa is a nationally recognised spoken word poet, play writer, educator and published author. She is the 2016 Queensland Poetry slam champion, winner of the XYZ Innovation in Spoken Word Prize and has performed at the Sydney Opera house and Splendour in the Grass. She shared her work on channel 10, the ABC and has now set her sights on stand up comedy. Within her first 6 months of stand up she became the Sunshine Coast laughable comedy champion 2020, won the giggle room comedy competition and won the audience favourite at the good chat Bratt pack finals. Her warm yet razor sharp insights on race, relationships and gender leaves rooms filled with laughter.
A comedic space-warrior riding a living volcano with one hand whipping the reins and the other gingerly fingering the lava-hot truth that flows freely down all sides – is smothering the world in comedy magma. A true original, his style is manic but impactful. The mystical art of comedy bursts through his veins (and mouth) coupled with his razor sharp wit, taking no prisoners. Dusty Rich is, without question, an unnaturally naturally talented comedic anomaly.
