Port Davey Expedition

Board the Windeward Bound for an intimate sailing experience into Port Davey in the pristine Tasmanian Southwest Wilderness World Heritage area.

Our unique 8 day expedition travels through Tasmania’s beautiful World Heritage area of Port Davey, an untouched waterway full of natural wonder. Let us take you to some of Tasmania’s most spectacular and inaccessible places, including Melaleuca, the gateway to the southwest and South East Cape where our early settlers turned north to establish Hobart. You will be immersed in jaw-dropping scenery, incredible pioneer history and abundant nature and wildlife.

The Windeward Bound is an authentic traditional square-rigged Tall Ship and replicates early vessels that explored and worked in this area. Your sailing experience is enhanced by beautiful Tasmanian food and wine, the comfort of hot showers and restful bunks after an exciting day exploring.

Our exclusive expeditions are run twice a year and are open to a maximum number of ten people. This is an all-inclusive package including all food, drinks and activities for AUD $4750 (this is our first increase in 6 years). We require a 50% deposit on booking.
