Perth’s premier STone Temple Pilots tribute band, The Lounge Flys are set to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the 1994 critically acclaimed album “PURPLE” at Rosemount Hotel on Friday 2 February 2024, performing the album in full, plus a selection of STP favs! With special guests Ten Tonne Skeleton performing the best of Royal Blood

After the success of their 1992 debut Core, the band’s anticipated follow-up, Purple, began construction almost immediately after the band’s first major North American tour, one which saw them starting out as the opening act for one of their underground heroes The Butthole Surfers. The album, which dropped June 7, 1994, topped the Billboard 200 and delivered two No. 1s on the Mainstream Rock Songs chart with “Vasoline” and “Interstate Love Song.” (Ron Hart, Billboard Magazine 11/5/2019)

Within a few months of its release, Purple had sold over three million copies and propelled the band to headliner status. (classicrockreview.com)

With stellar STP tribute appearances at popular Perth tribute events Grungefest and Freopalooza, THE LOUNGE FLYS pay homage to one of the 90s all-time great rock albums, when they perform “PURPLE” in full, plus a selection of Stone Temple Pilots classic cuts.
