Rebecca Barnard + Tony Hicks feature with JMQ Jazz Ensemble

JAZZ: On Thursday, FEBRUARY 15, 2024, JMQ Jazz Ensemble will feature wonderful vocalist, REBECCA BARNARD with stellar tenor saxophonist/ flautist, TONY HICKS, at the welcoming Golden Gate Hotel, South Melbourne at 7pm.

Rebecca: The name 'Barnard' is well-known in the Australian Music & Jazz scene, across three generations, and Rebecca grew up listening to an eclectic mix of music and exposed to the best. While she is best know for her stunning versatility as a songwriter, band-leader and singer, she also revisits her Jazz roots regularly, with those great jazz standards that were a soundtrack to her youth. She has also recently released a new jazz album.

Tony: is a topline multi-instrumentalist and stalwart of the jazz and wider music world, in Australia and overseas. He and band-leader John have been colleagues for many decades and it is always a joy to have him in the house. The all star line up shall include Michael Harding (piano), Barney Loveland (bass), Tony Floyd (drums),John Montesante (trumpet & flugel). Doors 6:30pm. Jazz 7pm.
