Ripple - English Summer Course for Year 7 & 8

With 6 classes run over 3 weeks in January, you’ll be set to achieve your goals for next year and beyond with ease!

To help you learn from like-minded peers, there will be two streams:

- Year 7-8 will embark on an exciting journey into technology-driven literary to create their own interactive digital text. Strengthening your narrative writing skills is crucial for success in Years 7 to 10 as students are expected to make the jump from basic creative writing to authentic and engaging storytelling. Students are encouraged to explore and employ their ICT and digital prowess to digitally enhance their creations.

- Year 9-10 will work on a multi-modal project, culminating in a viva-voce presentation. NESA has mandated that schools set at least one presentation task in Year 11 and 12 English, so verbal communication and the ability to independently drive your own projects are crucial skills to pick up. Levelling up your presentation skills is crucial to success in senior years.
