Ross Daniels - Offline (Melbourne International Comedy Festival)
Comedian gets more than he bargained for when he becomes a 'Boom-fluencer'
Ross Daniels is back for the Melbourne Comedy Festival - although something's wrong. He should be celebrating his thriving, new online following but instead an unseen force seems to be sabotaging his show.
During lockdown Ross took his unique collection of comic personas online and quickly became an infectious curio ' an older content creator with a sizeable internet audience. With over 80,000 TikTok followers he qualifies as a 'micro-influencer' and has reinvented himself finding a broad, new fan base. But all is not smiley emojis. With online success comes trolls and it seems a pact with the internet might have diabolical consequences.
Offline - characters, satire and a dash of the demonic.
'Superb ★★★★' The Age
