Standing Circle is a band directed by Larry Crestani, guitar & Kraartar player for the band Black Jesus Experience. With Sam Young on drums & percussion, Gareth Hill on double bass and Richard Rose on electric bass the band plays all original compositions. The Circle organically blends traditional world music, funk, hip hop and sounds from all surroundings with a jazz attitude.
Standing Circle will be presenting 3 Thursdays at the Motley Bauhaus in Carlton. Workshopping new tunes for their upcoming first record they will be showcasing various special guests from the Melbourne hot pot. The collective will offer its eclectic approach, painting different faces of solid grooves and colourful soundscapes.
