Sydney Spirits Festival

This specialised and diverse collection is the largest of its kind in Australia featuring 148 brands of whisk(e)y, gin, soju, schnapps, rum, vodka, vermouth, grappa, tequila, liqueurs, fortified wines and more.

All spirits will be available for tasting and samples are included in your ticket.

Whisk(e)y is the largest component and comprises American, Scotch and Australian single malts plus Bourbon whiskey and more.

A range of food will be available for purchase.

All spirits samples are included in the cost of your ticket. Bottles are available for take home purchases. Tote bags and tasting glasses are provided free of cost. Six food stands feature gourmet treats fashioned to match popular spirits.

Are you interested in a helping of whisky masterclass by Australia’s Whisky superstar Bill Lark or maybe an all-American cocktail masterclass with the legendary Buffalo Trace? Or maybe a taste through the World of Gin from Japan, Italy and Germany sparks your interest? Or do you yearn to dive into a Spanish and Italian vermouth class – how do they compare?

Did you know that negroni matches best with spicy Salami? Why not ask Ester’s head distiller Felix Clark.

Bourbon, Whisky, Gin, Vermouth and Negroni masterclasses available now. Each class attracts an extra $40 cost and there are only 40 tickets per class.

Try something new and expect the unexpected. With such a large range of international and boutique distillers bringing their award winning products to the festival you are bound to try something that you have never had before.
Ever tried German or Japanese gin? American peanut butter whisky? Greek vermouth or cachaça? Do you know what agave is? Have you tried a gold medal Aussie negroni? No, well here’s your chance. Who knows, you may find a new favourite drink!

Food Glorious Food

Love sake, soju and Japanese noodles?, love rum? oysters? vodka? Love Mexican tacos and tequila? Well then, you’re in for a treat. The Sydney Spirits Festival is bringing together a diverse range of food and spirits for you to sample and savour all in one place. There will be tasty morsels to sample as well as a variety of international cuisines to purchase. When you want a break from spirits take to the outdoor Schibello Coffee Café overlooking the best harbour in the world. Oh and don’t forget the brandy cannoli.

Festival of Taste

The venue will be set up to be a giant taste theatre. The distillers and chefs have been encouraged to unleash their inner spirit and dress up for the festival, think safari suits and big wigs, Mexican sombreros and velvet suits… the festival is all about having fun and trying something new. The event is being held in the Customs Hall at the Overseas Passenger Terminal in Circular Quay.

The masterclasses are two minutes away on the Mezzanine floor below. Class numbers are limited.
