Tamara Murphy Trio (TMT)

TMT is the newest project from Tamara Murphy, featuring the talents of Stephen Magnusson (guitar) and James McLean (drums). The members of this trio have worked together in many different configurations over the years, and now they have formed a new unit. This new trio performs a modern selection of covers, spanning from The Beatles to Thom Yorke, in addition to performing songs by members of the band.

Their debut album TMT (Album of the Week on both ABC Jazz and PBS Radio) gives the. feeling of being at one of their gigs – it’s raw, freely builds and takes apart their repertoire in different ways, exploring many different textures, moods and sonic worlds in a truly ‘Melbourne’ way.
