Following a successful Sunday afternoon at the St Leonards Hotel last September the collective are at it again for another unforgettable event.

Playing a regular Friday night at the ‘Hall for Hire’, under the bridge that goes from South Geelong to Belmont along Moorabool Street the ‘House Band’ or ‘The URBAN COLLECTIVE’ as they are affectionately known, came together by chance with a common passion for country songs and a desire for making people happy via the gift of music.

The URBAN COLLECTIVE is currently enjoying a significant growth spurt as the House Band is gaining quite the reputation around the country music circuit in Victoria. Members include Joseph Calderazzo (The Bloomvilles/Jenny Morris), who recently returned to Geelong after living in Sydney for many years and reached out to long-time friend, Tony Valenti (Double Vision), then teamed up with locals, Adam Giles (Mik Maks), and Gary Stevenson (Cool Change).

Roger and Ree Millward are a husband-and-wife duo. Originally from the UK, Roger performed professionally with his band "Lee Roger's Rock n Roll Jukebox" and released a self-titled album in 2014. On moving to Australia in 2017 Roger and Ree combined ‘A little bit country, and a little bit of rock and roll’ and became The Millwards.

Following the success of their debut album “One” in 2022 The MILLWARDS have been performing at country music festivals around Australia. Their current ‘Australian Song Series’ is receiving wide radio airplay and chart success on many independent country radio stations.
The Millwards and The URBAN COLLECTIVE are always grateful when they can collaborate due to a gap in their respective schedules.

And just to sweeten the deal, special guests for the afternoon will be Lisa Joy and David Reid.

Expect to hear songs by the country greats; The Mavericks, Glen Campbell, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Slim Dusty, Traveling Wilburys, Kris Kristofferson, Roy Orbison, Brooks & Dunn, Poco, Linda Ronstadt plus heaps more…
