triple j’s Tom & Alex have announced the location of this year’s One Night Stand music festival is Dubbo in central New South Wales.
Dubbo mayor Matthew Dickerson joined the presenters of the breakfast show for the announcement this morning, and said "I've been hanging around waiting for something as exciting as this to happen… It's fantastic!"
The mayor, who also dabbles in poetry, also offered up a limerick in celebration that warned partygoers who want to drink or take drugs to "stay away" from the all ages, drug and alcohol free event.
This year anyone who can’t make it to Dubbo (or wishes to stay at home due to reasons stated above) can watch the entire festival, which will be broadcast on ABC2 as well as triple j radio.
The lineup for the annual regional music festival was announced last week, with Flume, The Rubens, Ball Park Music and Seth Sentry on the bill. More acts will be announced on March 27 after a lineup of triple j Unearthed bands is dug up.
