Sydney’s beloved music venue The Lansdowne Hotel will officially reopen on Friday October 18 under new management and an “80’s New York loft style ambience.”
A free party is being thrown to welcome The Lansdowne back to the neighborhood of Chippendale featuring live music from Gay Paris, Fox Company, Reckless Empire, Tremor Dolls and Daniel Allars plus a special guest.
There will be an open mic event from 6pm and Sydney’s take on a downtown Brooklyn Block Party with hip-hop and house blasting the windows and footpaths from 10pm.
The new Phoenix Diner offers classy American sounding menu items like Coked Up Chicken Legs (cola-braised chicken legs, chilli popcorn and slaw) and Moonshine Gumbo.
Local musicians and students will be pleased to welcome the introduction of a weekly programme at the Lansdowne featuring open mic nights, trivia, uni events and theme parties.
