Prepare for a flood of fun and laughter as Michael McIntyre, the UK’s biggest selling comedian, brings his latest sell out stand up show Happy & Glorious, to Australian shores this October.

Michael will be blasting out his brand of comedy in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.

Selling out over four hundred thousand tickets, The UK and Ireland legs of the tour saw Michael beat his rivals to the Christmas Number One slot in the DVD chart. He was also awarded the prestigious keys to London’s 02 Arena for an astonishing 27 performances at that venue during his 2015 tour, which sees him performing more times than One Direction and Take That.

Michael’s previous tour, Showtime, snatched up the record for the biggest selling comedy tour in the world in 2012, which included a record breaking ten night residency at the O2 matching pop icon Rhianna’s 2011 record. The comedian has released three best-selling DVDs; 2008’s Live and Laughing which was the biggest selling UK debut standup DVD of its time, Hello Wembley, which in 2009 became the fastest selling UK stand up DVD of all time, a record it still holds, and 2012’s Showtime, which beat its competitors to the Christmas Number One spot.

The past few years have been whirlwhind years for Michael. He performed internationally in 2013; selling out arena shows in South Africa, Dubai, Norway, Australia, New Zealand and Singapore. His Johannesburg show was the largest ever comedy show in South Africa and his Dubai shows won the Time Out Best Night Out Award.

Michael is now back on TV with the launch of his brand new show Michael McIntyre’s Big Show on BBC One.

Special guest for the Happy & Glorious Tour will be Paul Tonkinson.
