Katy Perry Brings 'Witness Tour' Down Under In July To August 2018

Off the back of his newest album 'Witness', global pop superstar Katy Perry is again set to hit Australian roads in July to August 2018. The seven-date Australian leg of her Witness Tour will kick off with two shows at the Perth Arena then will make its way to the Adelaide Entertainment Centre for three shows. Next stop will be at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne. Following the three shows in Melbourne, Katy will wow audiences at Brisbane Entertainment Centre for another pair of performances before calling it quits at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney where she will play four special shows.

Witness delves with Katy's liberation—in the changes in her own life and in the world around her. It contains songs that inspire both thought and movement. The singles released thus far—the Platinum-certified 'Chained to the Rhythm' featuring Skip Marley, 'Bon Appétit' featuring Migos and the new single 'Swish Swish' featuring Nicki Minaj—hint at the breadth of the musical and thematic elements found on the album.

'Bon Appétit' is officially Katy’s fastest viewed music video of all time, boasting 14.2 million views in the first 24 hours and has now clocked over 190 million! The single features Atlanta-based hip-hop trio Migos. It was co-written by Katy, Max Martin, Shellback, Oscar Holter, Ferras Alqaisi and Migos.

Katy Perry made her EMI Music debut with 2008's 'One of the Boys' after signing to the label in 2007. Her 2010 follow-up album 'Teenage Dream' cemented her status as a global superstar. 'Prism', her 2013 album, debuted at number one on iTunes in 100 countries and has sold over 12.5 million adjusted albums worldwide. With the singles 'Firework' and 'Dark Horse' each surpassing the 10 million threshold including song sales and streams, Katy is the first female artist to earn two RIAA Digital Single Diamond Awards. In her 10 years with Capitol, she has racked up more than 18 billion cumulative streams alongside worldwide sales of more than 40 million adjusted albums and over 125 million tracks.

In Australia alone, Katy has enjoyed four number one singles and 12 top five singles. Her singles have reached 60x Platinum status in the country with an additional 2 gold singles.
