British singer-songwriter Passenger (aka Mike Rosenberg) will be hitting Aussie roads this November in support of his 10th studio album 'Runaway'. He will play major city venues with Brisbane's The Tivoli Theatre being the first stop. He will then croon his way to The Forum in Melbourne and Enmore Theatre in Sydney before going to Adelaide's The Gov and Perth's Astor Theatre. Metricup's 3 Oceans Palandri Estate will host the final show. The AU dates will follow the tour's NZ leg which features a show at Auckland's Powerstation.
'Runaway', due out on Friday 31 August via Black Crow Records, finds Passenger embracing the epic once again—the melodies are unforgettable, the choruses colossal. Even though it was recorded between the UK and Australia with co-producer Chris Vallejo, the 10-track record was imagined as unfolding against a backdrop of American landscapes. Passenger and video director Jarrad Seng spent three weeks making videos across the US to capture the visual accompaniments to the aural landscapes.
The video for the title track ‘Runaway’ reflects this beautifully, seeing the troubadour run through breathtaking sceneries in the US—from the city to the countryside before entering coastal and forest terrain. Meanwhile, another single ‘Hell Or High Water’ also came blasting over the airwaves ahead of the actual album release, providing a taste of the album since May.
Passenger says he is excited by the idea of hitting the road again—solo this time, after bringing in a full band for 2017’s ‘Young As The Morning’ tour. And he’s still busking, launching 'Runaway' in Europe with a series of busking appearances with more to come.
Book your tickets now and prepare to be mesmerised by Passenger's new songs and his raw, ever-tender yet emotive vocals!
