Multi-platinum singer-songwriter and global sensation Shawn Mendes is hitting Australian roads next year in support of his self-titled third album. He will be doing arena spectacles with his bag full of new hits. Kicking off at Perth Arena, he will head to the Adelaide Entertainment Centre and Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena (for a trio of shows) before performing at Sydney's Qudos Bank Arena. The final show will be held at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre. Following his AU shows, he will be at Auckland's Spark Arena for the NZ stop of the tour.
Mendes' latest album was released last May and debuted at #1 on both the US Billboard 200 chart—making him the third youngest solo artist of all time to have three Billboard #1 albums—and the ARIA Album Chart. The lead single ‘In My Blood’, which was Portugal’s official anthem for the FIFA World Cup 2018, has already been certified Platinum in Australia and Gold in NZ, with ‘Lost in Japan’ and ‘Youth (feat. Khalid)’ both certified Gold in Australia.
'Shawn Mendes' is a follow-up to 2016’s 'Illuminate' and 2014’s 'Handwritten' which spawned the 5x Platinum smash hit single ‘Stitches’. The accompanying tour, on the other hand, follows the Canadian's 'Illuminate World Tour' in 2017 and 'Shawn Mendes World Tour' in 2016, both of which were sold out. His huge run of shows now includes over 60 dates across four continents, kicking off in Europe before traversing the Americas and touching down in Australia and New Zealand.
