City and Colour Hits Aussie Roads With Headline Tour In April Next Year

Canadian singer-songwriter Dallas Green, aka City and Colour, is heading back to Australia next year for a slew of headline shows. With Australian alternative rocker Alex Lahey in tow, he will kick off the tour at Adelaide's Thebarton Theatre, then will proceed to Fremantle Arts Centre, Sydney's Enmore Theatre (two shows) and Melbourne's The Forum. Hobart's Odeon Theatre will see the final show.

Best known for cult gems like 'The Girl', 'Lover Come Back', and 'Comin' Home', City and Colour eases confessional turbulences into enthralling swells of guitar-driven euphoria. His emotionally intimate songs and crystalline live vocals have earned him high praises and a dedicated fan base.

"Green's voice is truly captivating. The range from near whispers to fearless belts wring every melancholic lyric out dry." - NPR

"A melancholic, soul-stirring affair." - Herald Sun

This year saw him release his first new music in four years, beginning with kaleidoscopic single 'Astronaut' and follow-up 'Strangers', a soaring track that he says, "is about how you will never truly know another human being." His sixth studio album 'A Pill for Loneliness' will be released in early October, on his newly minted Still Records. Produced by three-time Grammy Award-winning Jacquire King (Kings of Leon, Tom Waits), the album promises a vulnerable palette of dreamy textures that is sure to be his brightest work yet.

City and Colour maintains his legacy as a co-founder of hardcore luminaries Alexisonfire. He received Platinum-certification for all four of the band's full-length records, and recently released their first new music in ten years with ferocious singles 'Familiar Drugs' and 'Complicit'. He has also joined force with global icon Alecia Moore (P!nk) to record as folk duo, You+Me. The project's debut 'Rose Ave.' reached Platinum status in Canada, and debuted at No.2 on the ARIA charts. Honing his live show in front of massive crowds at icon festivals including Coachella, Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza, he has over the years toured with P!nk, Neil Young, Alice in Chains, Ben Harper, Tegan and Sara and more.

Watch out for tickets and let City and Colour transport you to another dimension with his live performances next year!
