The Bright Art Gallery is a self-funding, community owned Gallery, managed by a committee of management and staffed by volunteer members.
The Annual Art Exhibition was commenced in 1962 using many and varied venues in Bright. The ultimate aim was to establish a community Art Gallery in Bright. After much fundraising, and with the help of the then Shire of Bright, the Gallery acquired a permanent home in Mountbatten Ave in December 1982. The Autumn Art Exhibition was first held in the current gallery location in 1983.
