Boynton's Feathertop Winery

Feathertop is a family owned and operated winery, established in 1989 by Kel Boynton and approximately 7 minutes drive from Bright.

Awarded a 5 Star Winery in James Halliday's 2014 and 2015 Australian Wine Companion, Feathertop is more than just a cellar door. Our Alfresco Restaurant is open year round for lunch or why not try a DIY local produce deli platter on the terrace. We have luxury accommodation on site, Summit Cru wine club, playground, Boynton's Lager on tap, unique function spaces, cycle-friendly facilities and a fantastic year-round calendar of events.

Feathertop captures the essences of nature and the beauty and crispness of the Alpine Valleys which surround the winery. We specialise in classic cool climate varieties with over 21 planted on the estate including Shiraz and Merlot, as well as alternate varietals including Savagnin, Sangiovese, Petit Verdot to name a few.

Feathertop represents Mountain Feathertop which is the commanding feature in our region, Alpine Valleys. The mountain not only visually shelters our valley and influences the air currents, but it has defined the soil structure in which we grow our grapes, as well as, providing us the fresh Alpine spring water that flows and nourishes our vines. These environmental conditions are integral in the process of our wines, they form the rock that we stand on.
