Icons and Paintings is composed of a collection of pieces by the artist Ana P, who offers a unique contribution to contemporary Australia Art. Having trained both in modern art and traditional by byzantine way of icon writing (egg and tempera on wood), Ana specializes in iconography and the use of orthodox religious icons within her artwork.
To make an icon, Iconographers use a fine brush with only a couple of hairs, and it is for this reason that they are themselves Iconwriters.
