The Kindred family have been established in Pokolbin since 1965 with the vineyards being planted in the early 70's. The Kindred's as vigneron's have supplied grapes over the years to such wineries as Brokenwood, Tyrrell's and Lakes Folly. In 1997 the Kindred family (grape growers) formed a partnership with the Little family (winemakers) and Littles wines was formed. The ability of Littles Wines to use grapes from the Kindred's well established vineyards had immediate success with the 1997 Semillon winning the Boutique Winemaker's Semillon Trophy. In 2002 the Littles decided to move to Broke and pursue their own winemaking endeavour, but the Kindred’s were lucky enough to keep the Littles name.

Our property manager David Blanch presides over our 400 acre estate with just under 50 acres of vines covering both the Lochleven and Daisy Hill vineyards. Semillon, Chardonnay, Marsanne, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir are grown in our vineyards. There is also about 100 head of cattle roaming around the property. The estate has some spectacular views from the high point of Sugarloaf Hill, which is one of several volcanic hills in Pokolbin.

Our Daisy Hill vineyard is a replanting of vineyards from the old Daisy Hill winery, which was one of the most substantial wineries in the Hunter Valley. The Daisy Hill winery won many awards with the most notable being a trophy from the Paris International Exhibition in the late 19th century. In the mid 1950's a fierce bushfire swept through Pokolbin and destroyed the winery and vineyards. We have named this vineyard out of respect for the Campbell family who helped create the wine industry in the hunter valley.
