The Consortium

Opened in December 2008 The Lounge at the Consortium is the brand new second level with a separate street access. The semi Moroccan area is designed to cater to a more sophisticated market who appreciate a more spacious and comfortable lounge style environment.

Featuring 2 bars, a balcony overlooking the south of Townsville and a raised lounge, the room is designed to cater for any style of function from an intimate cocktail gathering to a corporate event of 300 people.

The Birdcage area is a smaller intimate area adorned in ornate wooden birdcages. This room is perfect for small functions or social groups gathering for a birthday or corporate event. The area comfortably holds around 30-50 people for a cocktail style reception in a lounge environment.

The Raised Lounge Area has a feature bar and the large plush brown couches allow for a relaxing atmosphere to the room. The area is a unique, sophisticated and elegant layout in contemporary surroundings. The outside deck area is decorated with a combination of lounges and tables and chairs to suit your mood.

The extensive cocktail list will keep the taste buds jumping. Our creative bar staff have listed their favourites in the cocktail list but they are more then willing to create a personal cocktail to suit your mood or tastes. A tapas style menu is coming soon and all functions are catered fully with our elegant canapes designed by our Executive chef and his team at the Watermark restaurant.

A new addition coming soon is the sound proof wall which will divide the upstairs lounge area to the downstairs nightclub. The dividing walls are fold back to also allow for the option of a full venue.

Trading hours are Friday & Saturday nights and available 7 nights a week for private functions from 5:00pm.
