To celebrate Australia Day, the Parramatta & District Historical Society is holding a special event commemorating both Henry Dodd and The Mobbs Family. Both Henry and the Mobbs Family played important roles in the establishment of Parramatta from the earliest of colonial times.

This event will commence at 9:30am at the site of the Henry Dodd’s gravesite, in the St John’s Cemetery and later, 9:45am, at the gravesites of various members of the Mobbs Family who are buried in St John’s Cemetery Parramatta.

Members and friends are invited to join Governor Phillip and other early colonists at the St John’s Cemetery and the gravesites of Henry Dodd and the Mobbs Family where special tributes and will be paid to each.

Bookings are not required for this event, just come along and make history part of the Australia Day celebrations in Parramatta. For further information or enquiries contact Brian on 04 0118 1170.

Everyone welcome. Put History Back into Australia Day.
