Australian Web Awards

Now in their 14th year, the Australian Web Industry Association (AWIA) Web Awards recognise technical excellence in web development as well as the all-important creative component. The 2019 Australian Web Awards will celebrate projects completed between 1 July 2017 and 31 December 2018 in the following 9 categories:

Start Ups
Small Business
E-commerce
Commercial
Government
Education
Not for Profit
Innovation
Social Media

The awards are judged by a national selection of creative and technical leaders in the web industry. The judging criteria include:

User interface design
User experience design
Content
Development
Accessibility

For the time ever, the AWIA Award Gala will be held on the Gold Coast, Queensland. Ascending to new heights, the Gala dinner will be held on Saturday 18 May, 2019, following an ‘Edge of the Web Workshop’ on Friday 17 May, 2019. Full details on the Edge of the Web Workshop will be announced in the coming weeks.
