Celebrate the achievements of Australia’s best young musical talent with a showcase featuring works by Rachmaninov, Shostakovich and Australian composer Holly Harrison. This concert marks the homecoming of the Australian Youth Orchestra after a string of performances in prestigious venues throughout Europe and China as part of the 2019 AYO International Tour.

Accompanying the orchestra on its adventure across the globe is pianist Jan Lisiecki, who has become one of the world’s most notable young artists. Jan will perform Rachmaninov’s unforgettable Piano Concerto No.2—one of his most widely performed compositions to date.

At the orchestra’s helm is Polish conductor Krzysztof Urbański, whose thoughtful approach to music and balletic movement on the podium have earned him widespread acclaim.
