Cutting the Chord

Cremorne Pleasure Gardens, in association with GMT United and Jaywell Sound presents “Cutting The Chord”, a musically intoxicating, visually evocative, emotional journey.
Green Room Award winner Matthew Grant, the man who conceived and founded Australia's premier cabaret venue, The Butterfly Club, has teamed up with Julien Bétrémieux of Jaywell Sound and curated a unique Salon experience at KaDo Warehouse, an intimate Art-Bar in Cremorne (Richmond).

The Exhibition
Cocktail in hand, immerse yourself in a gallery of portraits capturing Melbourne's diverse musical community. Renowned photographer, Ivan Kemp has spent the last two years capturing images from Melbourne's live music scene. Technically outstanding, artistically compelling, his work is your prologue for an intimate musical Salon performance.

The Performance
Aidan Rolfe... maybe if Jeff Buckley and Sia had a love child it might be Aidan Rolfe. This 24 year old singer/songwriter is handsome, sexy and funny. He has a voice to melt your heart. More than a coming of age, or even a coming out story, Cutting The Chord is a beautiful 45 minute musical performance that will transport you.

The Venue
KaDo Warehouse: “possibly the most eclectic place I have ever seen” - thesprinkler.com.au
Matthew Grant’s latest venture, KaDo Warehouse is a converted inner city factory in Cremorne. Sometimes bar, sometimes gallery, but always an emporium of kitsch and good times.
