Den Hanrahan is a singer-songwriter whose songs tell the stories of modern Australia—from the red dust of the landscape, to the loves and losses of the people that have touched his life.

Steeped in bluegrass, classic folk tradition and Australian country rock, Den, with longtime musical partner Matt Nightingale on upright bass, Dave O'Neill on mandolin and fiddle, Peter Logue on the squeezebox and Zena Armstrong on the bodhran (Irish Drum), is now exploring the source of his Irish/Celtic heritage with his band, The Rumrunners. Pushing beyond genres and dipping generously into the melting pot that is Australian music, Den Hanrahan and the Rumrunners have flung the rules out the window and the result is a surprisingly fresh take on roots music.

Their latest album "Smoke and Mirrors" is out now!
