Australian-American pianist Edward Neeman has performed across five continents appearing as soloist with the Prague Philharmonic, Sydney Symphony, Melbourne Symphony, Kentucky Symphony, Symphony of Northwest Arkansas, and the American West Symphony among others. His debut album, Rachmaninoff & Sitsky, was released to critical acclaim in March 2016. Edward Neeman holds a Doctorate from the Juilliard School, as well as degrees from the Australian National University (ANU), the Manhattan School of Music, and the College-Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati. He is currently a piano lecturer at the ANU School of Music.

In this solo piano recital, Neeman performs the epic Ballade in G minor by Chopin, and contrasts this with ballades by American composer Amy Beach and Australian composer Roy Agnew. Entertaining dances by Cuban composer Ernesto Lecuona also feature on the program. Dr Neeman gives a piano masterclass for advanced piano students. Members of the public are most welcome to attend this masterclass as observers.

Presented in partnership with the ANU School of Music.
