On Father’s Day, Sunday, 1st September, when we come together to celebrate marvellous dads, Mt Thompson Memorial Gardens will help Holland Park and Mt Gravatt families who have lost father figures honour and connect with loved ones through a special event.
All area residents are invited to commemorate those who have proceeded us with a dedicated, non-denomination Remembrance Service and song presentation by Amelia Ayris. There will then be a time to reflect and share stories as guests gather for a traditional sausage sizzle.
Lee Menzies Park and Garden Manager at Mt Thompson Memorial Gardens says, “In our role as carers for the Holland Park and Mt Gravatt communities, we think it’s important that everyone has a place to remember the amazing dads who are no longer with us in body, but are ever-present in spirit and memory, and very much loved and missed by those who are here to remember them.”
The Fathers Day Remembrance Service was devised by the team at Mt Thompson Memorial Gardens, and proudly held in partnership with White Lady, to support people in celebrating the lives of their loved ones, while connecting with others who are going through a similar experience.
“In today’s society where we all lead busy lives, we hope to provide a time of joy for our Holland Park and Mt Gravatt neighbours, and a place where families can unite to reminisce about the good times,” concludes Lee Menzies.
