Father's Day Service

On Father’s Day, 1 September, families across Australia will come together to celebrate their marvellous dads and grandads. Albany Creek Memorial Park will help will help the families of Brisbane who have lost paternal figures honour their loved ones through a special memorial service.

All are invited to commemorate those who have proceeded us with a non-denominational service, led by celebrant Leonie Bates. Harriet Benson, Park & Garden Manager at Albany Creek Memorial Park says, “In our role as carers of the Albany Creek community, we think it’s important that everyone has a place to remember the amazing dads who are no longer with us in body, but are ever-present in spirit and memory, and very much loved and missed by those who are here to remember them.”

The Father’s Day Memorial Service was devised by the team at Albany Creek Memorial Park to support people in celebrating the lives of their fathers and grandfathers, while connecting with others who are going through a similar experience. This event is proudly held in collaboration with George Hartnett Metropolitan Funerals, and will include light refreshments served in the Bridgeman Lounge.
