Festival Gala – Romance of the Movies

The Ipswich City Symphony Orchestra presents an evening devoted to bringing to the stage the romance and grandeur of the music from histories most loved romantic movies, exploring the connection of music and love.

Our large ensemble of classical musicians under the baton of maestro Patrick Burnes, will take you on a musical experience as we relive a beautiful selection of songs from Gone With The Wind’s ‘Tara’s Theme’, Doctor Zhivago’s ‘Lara’s Theme’, Dangerous Moonlight ‘Warsaw Piano Concerto’, and the title theme ‘Lawrence of Arabia’, to name just a few.

Supported by an array of talented local vocalists and the gorgeous Shayne McCormack Ballet School, this will be a night to be cherished.
