Gipsys Looking Glass Logic-Bethamy Nader

Bethamy’s 2018 and 2017 art exhibitions won her viewer’s prizes for popular appeal.

Gipsys Looking Glass Logic transforms photos of pollution, waste, introduced species, and rapid human changes to the landscape, into the sublime.

These 12, twelve, original, contemporary, time intensive mixed media art works comprise Bethamy’s unique exhibition for this 2019 year.

The Project:
"I had an epiphany… transforming me into a modern day gypsy who travels around Tasmania each year, to photograph the cultural landscape. I select 12 cultural landscape photos to be my canvas, and apply acrylic paint and digital special effects that culminates in contemporary, unique photo-art works."

"On my 4th birthday I was gifted a Polaroid instant black and white camera and my love of photography began."
