The 10th Anniversary Season of Newcastle's Christ Church Camerata continues with a celebration of one of Australia's finest guitarists: Bruce Mathiske. Described in The Australian as "the finest all-round guitarist this country has produced", Bruce has performed in North America, Japan and Europe—including at the Edinburgh Festival, where he was hailed as "one of Australia's musical superstars." In addition to two of Mathiske's own suites for Guitar and Strings, the concert will include Vivaldi's Concerto for 4 Violins, music by Chick Corea and David Banney, and Einaudi's hauntingly beautiful "I giorni".
