Course outline:
This course is open to everyone.

It is being hosted by Tom Kendall from Kendal Permaculture, he will teach an 'Introduction to Permaculture' which will cover Permaculture Ethics and Philosophies, Bill Mollison's Permaculture Principles and an overview of subjects like zones, composting, water management and more, he will also focus on specific questions from attendees.

This Introduction will give attendees a greater understanding of what Permaculture is about. It is also a great way to determine whether attendees would like to continue on their Permaculture journey by completing a Permaculture Design Certificate course, or simply getting stuck into the garden with a higher awareness for soil wealth and permaculture ethics. This is a theoretical course and does not include practical work.

About Tom Kendall
Tom Kendall is a permaculture farmer with over 40 years farming experience and a broad acre agriculture background. He is co-founder of the PRI Sunshine Coast Inc and PRI Luganville, Vanuatu and runs PDC courses and Permaculture training on his Permaculture Demonstration Site Maungaraeeda. Tom regularly co-teaches Permaculture Design Certificate courses with Geoff Lawton and has taught Permaculture courses in Australia and overseas.

He is part of Geoff Lawton’s Permaculture Sustainable Consulting team and does regular consultations for personal land holders as well as not for profit organisations and government departments in Australia and overseas. Being brought up in a remote area of Western Australia, he was taught from very young to be inventive, innovative and self reliant, a practise he still continues today and teaches to his students in Australia and abroad.
