An extraordinary performance of ancient Japanese arts, in music, song and dance, by today’s most celebrated artists at the iconic Sydney Opera House. Performance Ikebana to beautiful Japanese zither music played by virtuoso Satsuki Odamura, song and dance by award winning Okinawa Sanshin player Mion.

Feel the power of Onikenbai, a Buddhist ritual dance that symbolises good spirits driving away the bad. Get up close to the beautiful silk worn by Kimono Dancer, Hirogiku Nishikawa and the precision and flashing blade of Samurai Dancer, Ryou Arai.

Finally, hear the delicate melodies of the shakuhachi and thunderous impact of the odaiko, from award-winning Taikoz drummers, who demonstrate their international reputation for vibrant, explosive performance.

The celebration of Japan’s new era of “Reiwa”. This will be a night not to be missed!
