Mel Buttle – Welcome Aboard – GC Laughs Festival

As my personal hero and décolletage mentor Deborah Hutton used to say, Hi I’m Mel Buttle and it’s my pleasure to welcome you aboard.

If there’s anything I can do to make you more comfortable today keep it to yourself, I’ve got enough on my plate: a break-up, a huge year of international touring and working out how to co-parent a rescue dog with my ex-missus.

As a platinum frequent flyer, I can assure you there’s nothing more glamourous than air travel. Except being at home with your loving partner on the couch with nice Barossa Shiraz and a few episodes of The Barefoot Contessa.

In the cabin today we’ve got anxiety and too many Red Rooster rolls for lunch. Up the back is a panic about not having any kids yet. Even if you laugh often please note that every show is different. Sit back and relax.
