The Music on a Market Sunday concert features Mozart’s Piano Quartet in g minor performed by John Clifton Everest, April Kelson, Jhana Allen and Camilla Tafra.

The Piano Quartet in g minor composed in 1785 is regarded as the first major piece composed for that combination of instruments (violin, viola, cello and piano). It is a brilliant and technically tricky work, that displeased the commissioning editor since it was unsuited for his target market of amateur performers but has always delighted audiences.

John, April, Jhana and Camilla are four of Armidale’s leading musicians and this is a great opportunity to hear them working together. Admission to the concert is fee, though donations are encouraged. Tea and sausages will be available at the Uniting Church before the concert.
