This is your chance to make a difference to Cottesloe Beach, WA with not one but three Perth Marine Debris Teams coming together for a big clean-up on 30 June 2019.

With the toxic tide of plastic pollution increasing in our oceans and threatening marine-life worldwide, Sea Shepherd Australia’s Marine Debris Campaign is will be at the iconic Cottesloe Beach as part of our Perth events in support of Plastic Free for the Oceans in July.

July has become the month to create awareness of the environmental problems associated with plastics, in particular single-use plastic products. If you've never been to a beach clean-up, then this is the one for you!

50% of all plastic produced annually is made into single-use products, used for around 12 minutes on average. A large proportion of these items find their way into our waterways—we want to remove them before they get there and we need your help.

You can help protect our beaches, oceans, wildlife and the planet by joining us on Sunday June 30, 2019 as as the Freo, Central and Northern Beaches Marine Debris Teams join forces to conduct a clean-up at Cottesloe Beach.

We will be cleaning till 10:30, then sorting and counting.

What to Bring:
- Wear closed-in shoes
- Sunscreen
- Water – in a reusable bottle
- A hat
- If you have them—reusable gloves, tongs and/or a bucket.

Please note: This is a “Single Use Plastic Free” event.

For the oceans!
