Rockin 4 the Homeless

RSL Club Southport in affiliation with The Movement proudly present Rockin 4 The Homeless.

Tonight, more than 116,000 Australians will be homeless. Every day, so many people are turned away from crisis centres across the country. As we are all too aware, homelessness is a very real problem on the Gold Coast.

This year, Rockin 4 The Homeless 2019 is staging its inaugural Gold Coast event Friday 30th August 2019 which will no doubt be a huge success, with an all- Australian line up including You Am I and The SuperJesus plus supports. All proceeds will go to The Movement Gold Coast; a registered charity that offers homeless outreach from Ormeau to Robina. The event will allow the charity to grow with the needs of the community and will greatly assist us to meet our goal of leaving a lasting legacy in the community.

The Movement Crew Gold Coast are a local Gold Coast based charity that provides support and outreach to the Gold Coast. This is achieved through three (3) weekly local homeless feeds at
Labrador & Surfers Paradise. On any week throughout the year, the Movement Crew will feed and provide outreach to 150 people. This group is non-funded by any tier of Government. Local volunteers & donations provide the backbone of the support provided to the homeless community on the Gold Coast. The “Rockin 4 the Homeless” event will provide funds for the group to purchase a vehicle to enable the group to service a broader geographic area of the Gold Coast.
