Spring returns, and with it blooms the fragrant, colourful rose gardens of Werribee Park Precinct. This year’s State Rose & Garden Show will bring the vibrant gardens to life, with food trucks, the Prosecco Van and live music, plus new experiences including the introduction of a High Tea experience, and a Beer and Wine Garden amongst the roses..

Some of Australia’s most beloved gardening experts will be joining this year’s event, including South Australia’s ‘Indoors Outdoors’ gardening guru Kim Syrus, Gardening Australia’s Jane Edmanson, Network Ten’s ‘The Home Team’ host Anthony Scott and Vasili Kanidiadis, host of Vasili’s Garden on 7Two, SBS TV and Channel 31, with more to be announced. Kim, Jane and Anthony will be sharing their tips and tricks on improving and maintaining your garden, so be sure to bring a notebook and pen!

- Wander through stunning rose-lined pathways—full of vibrant roses of every colour imaginable. With six acres of garden to explore, and shades covering everything from soft creams to brilliant corals, the 5,000+ floral displays is the perfect setting for a relaxed afternoon with family and friends.
- Live plant care demonstrations and guided tours will run across the weekend, with so much to learn from industry experts. Browse through the pop-up nursery stalls with plants, tools, pots and homewares all on offer.
- Relax amongst the blooms, with live music and food trucks. This year also brings a fresh new garden pop-up, serving up a delicious new experience each day.
- On Saturday visitors will be able to enjoy some smooth brews in the rose-filled wine and beer garden, with craft beers, ciders, wine and Roseade paired with Bluebonnet Barbecue’s American style fare.
- On Sunday, it’s all about vintage glamour and indulgence with the Prosecco Van and Mrs. Baker’s Gin paired with a unique rose-inspired High Tea experience from the High Tea Mistress. There are two high tea packages available for pre-purchase; ‘Little Pleasures’ and ‘Afternoon Delight’ with prices starting at $30. Bookings are limited, with tickets available via the website. A limited number of bookings will also be available on the day.

Victoria State Rose Garden is recognised internationally by the World Federation of Rose Societies, and the rose garden is considered to be among Australia’s best rose gardens. The iconic backdrop provided by the historic Werribee Mansion, paired with the acclaimed rose garden, perfectly manicured green lawns and grand old pine trees, offers the perfect setting for an afternoon amongst the beautiful rolling grounds—with picnics welcome.

Only a 30-minute drive from Melbourne’s CBD, the State Rose & Garden Show offers plenty for all levels of gardener—whether a novice or a green thumb—and entertainment the whole family will enjoy.

The Victoria State Rose Garden is lead by the passion and hard work of volunteers. They maintain this must-see destination for garden and outdoor lovers, and visitors are encouraged to support the wonderful work of garden volunteers by making a gold coin donation at the event.

Don’t miss seeing the blooms at their best at this year’s annual State Rose & Garden Show. Gates open at 10am both days—so make a weekend of it and explore the grand surrounds of Werribee Park Mansion, including Werribee Mansion, Werribee Open Range Zoo and the luxurious Mansion Hotel and Spa.
