We open the 2019 Sunday Series under the baton of Guest Conductor Mario Dobernig, Artistic Director and Conductor in Chief for the Art of Sound Orchestra. The program opens with the Prelude and Liebestod from Richard Wagner's highly influential opera Tristan und Isolde and also features Schumann's stunning Symphony No. 4 in D Minor. For the very first time, Stonnington Symphony will perform music by acclaimed Brazilian composer Ney Rosauro showcasing versatile Melbourne-based percussionist Kaylie Melville, co-director of the contemporary ensemble Rubiks Collective.

Please join us for a pre-concert talk at 1:45pm in the main hall to learn a little more about this program, our guest artists and YOUR community orchestra.
