Queensland Music Festival returns to Mount Isa for an explosive outdoor theatrical spectacular! Created for, by and with the Mount Isa community, The Mount Isa Blast celebrates the people, the place and the pulse of a resilient, diverse and proud regional city.
Expect stellar performances from our cast of hundreds of locals—including the supremely talented William Barton and Megan Sarmardin—that draw upon QMF’s rich history of musical endeavours in Mount Isa, including the unforgettable Bob Cat Dancing (2003), Swingin’ Utes (2011) and Symphony of the Inland Sea (2015). The magical blast also unearths new talent and songs, as Mount Isa looks to the future.
Featuring utes, bob cats, motocross, livestock, mass choirs and a full symphony orchestra, The Mount Isa Blast will be an immense celebration of the region, its colourful history, diverse strengths and legendary resilience.
